Programme Aims

The Professional Diploma in Quality Management is jointly offered by the School of Continuing Education (SCE) and the Hong Kong Quality Management Association (HKQMA). This Program is designed for people working in quality-related fields, and with the aim to enhance and update their knowledge and practice in the field of quality management.

Programme Objectives

Upon completion of the course, participants shall:

  1. develop core knowledge in quality management regardless of their working and education background;
  2. gain the essential skills for application in different areas;
  3. acquire in-depth knowledge in special area of interest.

Professional Recognition

  1. Graduates will be granted the membership (MHKQMA) by the Hong Kong Quality Management Association upon application. Details may be obtained from the HKQMA website.

  2. Graduates of this programme are eligible to apply for Six Sigma Green Belt recognition from the Six Sigma Institute of Hong Kong. Details may be obtained from the website: www.ssi.org.hk.

Assessment

To be awarded the Professional Diploma in Quality Management, the participant must satisfy all the following conditions:

  1. obtained a minimum 75% attendance for each subject;
  2. satisfactorily completed all the required assignments;
  3. obtained a pass in each subject examination.

Medium of Instruction

Cantonese supplemented with English. Reading materials are printed in English.

Tuition Fee

HK$20,000 (to be paid in three installments).
Remark: Tuition fees paid are not refundable, except in the case of full enrolment or course cancellation.

Admission Requirements

To qualify for admission to the program, applicants should possess either one of the following requirements:

  1. Graduates of SCE Diploma/Higher Certificate Programs with a minimum of 3 years of relevant post qualification work experience, or;
  2. Other equivalent qualifications approved by SCE and HKQMA.
