Established in 2000, the College of International Education (CIE) is a self-funded unit of the Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU), offering full-time Associate Degree (AD), Higher Diploma (HD) and Undergraduate (UG) Honours Degree Programmes at the Shek Mun (Shatin) campus. It is a major education providing unit of the School of Continuing Education (SCE), one of the seven Faculties/Schools of HKBU. CIE currently enrolls over 3,500 students and is committed to the University’s mission of providing quality whole-person higher education with a Christian heritage. Applications are now invited for the following position:
Student Development Assistant (Ref. No.: 26270128)
The appointee will provide administrative support to the Guidance Counsellors and Administration teams at the Shek Mun Campus Student Development Centre (SDC); deliver on-site logistics for student activities and events, including setup and dismantling, registration, and venue coordination; drive student participation through targeted outreach and follow-up; support the collection, verification, and tracking of data related to activities and services; and plan, create, and publish content across SDC social media channels.
Requirements:
- A recognised bachelor’s degree is required;
- Relevant experience is preferred;
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (both Cantonese and Putonghua);
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills;
- Outgoing, proactive, detail-minded and independent personality with strong sense of responsibility;
- Proficiency in computer applications. Skills and experience in graphic design, video production and website management are preferred; and
- Fresh graduates and candidates with less experience, but with a strong portfolio, are also welcome to apply.
The appointee will be required to serve on the Shek Mun campus in Shatin.
The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract ending in August 2027. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
