Part-Time Lecturers For Full-Time Sub-degree And Undergraduate Degree Programmes

 

Established in 2000, the College of International Education (CIE) is a self-funded unit of the Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU), offering full-time Associate Degree (AD), Higher Diploma (HD) and Undergraduate (UG) Honours Degree Programmes at the Shek Mun (Shatin) campus.  It is a major education providing unit of the School of Continuing Education (SCE), one of the Faculties/Schools of HKBU.  CIE currently enrolls over 3,500 students and is committed to the University’s mission of providing quality whole-person higher education with a Christian heritage.  English is used as the medium of instruction at the College.  Applications are now invited for the part-time lecturer position for the following course areas /subjects for the Second Semester of the 2025-26 academic year.

Applicants should possess at least a Master’s degree in relevant discipline and have substantial teaching experience preferably at tertiary level. Competence in using English as the medium of instruction is required.  For courses marked with ^, applicants with a Bachelor’s degree AND substantial working experience in relevant discipline will also be considered.  For courses marked with #, applicants should be able to understand and speak Cantonese.

 

[Notes]:

  1. Applicants must demonstrate an understanding of AI ethics and be aware of the social implications of AI use in media.
  2. Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau, as well as AI tools for data analysis, is required.
  3. Familiarity with AI tools applied to new media communication is considered an asset.
  4. Applicants should have relevant work experience in art direction or related fields within film, visual production, or the creative industry, demonstrating a strong understanding of the creative process and industry standards.
  5. Knowledge in radio or online broadcasting required.
  6. Experience in project management within the fields of art tech, visual production, curation, or advertising campaigns is highly desirable.
  7. Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau, and basic programming on data visualization such as Python is required.
  8. Proficiency in visual styles, typography, video production workflows, and Adobe After Effects techniques is required.
