SCHOOL OF CONTINUING EDUCATION

The School of Continuing Education, one of the seven Faculties/Schools/Academy of the University and a major provider of continuing and professional education in Hong Kong, offers a wide range of full-time and part-time programmes at the post-secondary, undergraduate and postgraduate levels for young learners and working adults. It also offers in-house training and short courses to meet the community needs and market demands. Operated on a self-financed basis, the School and its College of International Education currently employ about 400 full-time staff and 500 part-time instructors. The School is inviting applications for the following position:

Academic Services Officer (Ref. No.: 25260731)

The appointee will be required to perform the following major duties relating to programme quality assurance in the Registry of the School: a) conducting student surveys and preparing survey reports; b) coordinating the submission of quality assurance related documents to university units/committees; c) assisting in the coordination of periodic programme monitoring exercises such as updating of Programme Documents, compilation of annual reports, etc.; d) providing secretarial support to School Board/committees; e) assisting in liaison with various internal and external parties on quality assurance related matters; and f) serving as the representative of the Registry in School-wide committees and events as needed.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s Degree with at least one year of relevant work experience (Candidates possessing a Diploma/sub-degree qualification with substantial years of relevant work experience will also be considered);
• Strong competency in computer applications and compilation of statistical data;
• Good writing skills; and
• Good communication and organizational skills. 

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written assessment.

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract ending in August 2027. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
