Temporary Research Assistant

The project is looking for an appointee to provide technical assistance and administrative support to research activities in sleep problems and health and wellbeing of young people. Major duties include literature review, design of questionnaires, sampling, interview, quantitative and qualitative data analysis, coordination with internal and external parties, field surveys, instrument purchase, calibration and maintenance, coordination with student helpers, etc. They will also be required to perform any other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Psychology, Health Science, Nursing, Environment Science, Social Sciences, neuroscience or related disciplines;
  • Preferably 1 year of relevant experience;
  • An organised, efficient, highly motivated team player with positive working attitude, good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong data interpretation and reporting skills, with demonstrated accuracy and meticulous attention to details
  • High proficiency in computer applications (e.g. MS Office, Chinese and English Word Processing) and good knowledge in compilation of statistical data, preferably with experience in data analysis (e.g. SPSS, AMOS, MPlus) and visualization report preparation (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
  • Experience of use in fNIRS equipment and programming with Matlab, E-prime, Psychopy will be a plus, preferably with experience with the analysis of fNIRS data or relevant clinical research experience.
  • Knowledge and experience in project coordination, social media platforms and analytic technique.

 

Appointments will be offered on a fixed-term contract of five months.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
