Undergraduate Programmes
- Programme Features
- Teaching practicum and mainland & overseas exchange activities organized every year

- Programme Structure
- This programme is structured according to the HKBU overall structure of the four-year curriculum. It consists of 128 units.

- Admission Requirements

Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE):
(i) Level 3 or above in both Chinese Language and English Language; and
(ii) Level 2 or above in Mathematics and Liberal Studies; and
(iii) Level 3 or above in two elective subjects*
* At least one must be a Category A elective subject including Extended Part of Mathematics (Module 1 or Module 2). Category B subjects with “Attained with Distinction I” or above or Category C subjects with Grade E or above could be used to fulfill the second elective subject requirement.OR
- Other qualifications deemed acceptable by the School as equivalent to the General University Admission Requirements

- Programme Features
- The five-year full-time Bachelor of Nursing (Honours) Programme (BN) is accredited by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong (NCHK). Graduates will be eligible to obtain licence to practise as Registered Nurses (General) in Hong Kong. The programme prepares students to serve in a wide range of healthcare settings including acute, rehabilitation and community to help patients reach their greatest healing potentials. The programme’s distinctive features include:

- This is a five-year full-time programme, which consists of Major Required Courses (120 units), Elective Courses (6 units) and University Core and General Education Courses (31 units) per HKBU requirement, a total of 157 units.

- Admission Requirements

Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE):
(i) Level 3 or above in both Chinese Language and English Language; and
(ii) Level 2 or above in both Mathematics and Liberal Studies; and
(iii) Level 3 or above in two elective subjects*
* The first elective must be Category A subjects including Extended Part of Mathematics (Module 1 or Module 2). The second elective can be any Category A subjects or Applied Learning Courses (either Health Care Practice or Foundation in Chinese Medicine) with Attained with Distinction (I) or above. The preferred Category A subjects are Biology and Science: Combined Science.
OR - Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (HKALE) and Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE)
(i) HKALE
Grade E or above obtained in any two sittings:
.AS Use of English; and
.AS Chinese Language and Culture; and
.Either two AL subjects or one AL subject plus two AS subjects
and
(ii) HKCEE
Level 3 / Grade D or above in English Language (Syllabus B) AND Level 2 / Grade E or above in at least five subjects^ including Chinese Language in a single sitting (^The total grades of these five subjects are no less than 8 points.)

Other qualifications deemed acceptable by the School as equivalent to the General University Admission Requirements

- Programme Features
- This programme paves the way for secondary leavers to pursue a professional career in early childhood education. It aims to provide students with high-quality learning and teaching in professional knowledge, skills, strategies and ethics that enable them to excel in diverse early childhood education (ECE) settings in Hong Kong. Graduates of the programme will become reflective and committed early childhood professionals of high calibre.

Diploma Programmes
- Programme Features
- One-year full-time studies
- Students can obtain conditional offers through the Special Admission Scheme of HKBU Higher Diploma Programmes offered by SCE and Associate Degree Programme offered by CIE
- English is used as the main medium of instruction to enhance students’ language abilities in listening, speaking, reading and writing
- A selection of elective courses are offered to provide students with the opportunities to gain knowledge from different disciplines and broaden their horizons

- This is a one-year full-time programme, which consists of seven core courses and two elective courses, totaling 450 hours.

- Admission Requirements
- Level 2 in Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE) English Language and Chinese Language; OR
- Level 1 or above in HKDSE English Language and Chinese Language AND at least 6 points in the best five subjects*#; OR
- Other equivalent qualifications to be assessed by SCE.
* Application will still be considered if an applicant has attempted less than five subjects but obtained 6 points or above.
# Applicants are allowed to use not more than two Applied Learning (ApL) subjects in the application.
- Programme Features
- A total of 23 elective clusters, with 2 new additions including Business Management and Stylish Jewellery Design
- Early admission to HKBU SCE Higher Diploma programmes and CIE Associate Degree programme
- Qualification comparable to Level 2 in five subjects (including Chinese Language and English Language) in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE) which is accepted by the Government as meeting the academic entry requirement of over 30 civil service posts including Ambulanceman, Police Constable, Social Security Assistant, Customs Officer and Tax Inspector II etc.#

# For those who have successfully completed the Maths Plus elective course, the Diploma Yi Jin qualification obtained is accepted by the Government as meeting the academic entry requirement of civil service posts requiring Level 2 standard in 5 subjects including Chinese Language, English Language and Mathematics in the HKDSE Examination. These posts are Assistant Clerical Officer, Assistant Taxation Officer, Assistant Trade Controls Officer, Land Inspector II and Supplies Supervisor II.
