BACHELOR OF PSYCHOLOGICAL SCIENCE
Psychology is the science of human and animal behaviour and is studied by people who want to understand more about the nature of such behaviour and social interactions. The Bachelor of Psychological Science provides students with a sound understanding of the theoretical basis of psychology, critical and analytical thinking skills, plus the ability to design, conduct and evaluate research. Students develop core knowledge in cognitive, social, developmental, personality, clinical and abnormal psychology before undertaking three specialist psychology courses which apply this knowledge to psychological assessment, health psychology and organisational psychology.
Alongside the psychology courses our students also complete three counselling courses, adding practical skills that will be of benefit upon graduation in a wide range of jobs and employment sectors. The counselling sequence offers training in counselling theory and interpersonal skills that are a perfect complement to your psychology training.
Study Tour – A valuable opportunity for students to broaden their horizons and to experience Australian Culture through a series of activities and visits in the tour to Adelaide.
Workshop – Writing workshops and Interview workshops for students to sharpen their skills and prepare themselves for a job.
