Global Virtual Exchange Masterclass Series: Empowering Intercultural Learning and Industry Innovation
2026年05月29日
The Virtual Exchange Centre (VEC) successfully concluded its Global Virtual Exchange Masterclass Series, supported by HKBU Century Club, engaging over 730 participants from Asia, Europe, the Americas, and beyond. This dynamic initiative brought together HKBU and SCE students with their international peers to explore future-ready industry skills and foster meaningful intercultural collaboration.
The Series was launched at an opening ceremony officiated by alumna Dr Marianna Tsang, Patron and Past President/Ex-officio Director of HKBU Century Club, alongside guest speakers Mr Hui Yin and Mr Harvey Man, Co-founders and Producers of the acclaimed YouTube channel Trial & Error. In the opening session, “The Odyssey of Influencer Marketing”, Mr Hui and Mr Man provided valuable insights into the evolving landscape of influencer marketing and emphasising the importance of authenticity and creative communication. Participants collaborated across borders to design influencer campaigns that reflected cultural nuances and incorporated innovative digital strategies.
The second Masterclass, “How Multi-national Organisations Develop Global Learning Cultures and Tailor Talent Development Practices for Subsidiaries”, featured Dr Anthony Wong, Founder & Managing Consultant, and Ms Nicole Lau, Programme Director of SIMCO & Gente. Through practical frameworks and real-world case studies, they guided participants in exploring how multinational organisations balance global standards with local adaptation in talent development. Interactive discussions allowed students to tackle contemporary challenges, apply theory to practice, and strengthen solution-oriented thinking.
The Series concluded with “From AI Tools to AI Creative Partners: Transforming Image, Video & Multimedia Marketing”, hosted by Mr Roger Kan, VP of Strategic Partnerships at Cosmose. This session showcased AI’s rapid evolution from a supportive tool to a creative partner in image, video, and multimedia marketing. Under expert guidance, HKBU and SCE students, together with their global peers, collaborated to create innovative AI-generated composites and exchanged creative ideas, deepening their understanding of AI-driven strategies in digital marketing through hands-on practice.
Across all three Masterclasses—Influencer Marketing, Global Talent Development, and AI & Digitalisation—the Global Virtual Exchange Masterclass Series, generously supported by HKBU Century Club, promoted academic growth, intercultural dialogue, and practical industry skills. VEC expresses its gratitude to all speakers and participants for making the Series a resounding success and looks forward to continuing global collaboration and further enriching students’ learning experiences beyond the classroom.
