SCHOOL OF CONTINUING EDUCATION
The School of Continuing Education, one of the seven Faculties/Schools of the University and a major provider of continuing and professional education in Hong Kong, offers a wide range of full-time and part-time programmes at the post-secondary, undergraduate and postgraduate levels for young learners and working adults. It also offers in-house training and short courses to meet the community needs and market demands. Operated on a self-financed basis, the School and its College of International Education currently employ about 400 full-time staff and 500 part-time instructors. The School is inviting applications for the following position:
Assistant Academic Services Manager / Senior Academic Services Officer (Ref. No.: 25260443)
The appointee will be required to perform the following major duties in the Academic and Student Affairs Section of the School Registry
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning, coordinating and executing outreach activities locally and outside Hong Kong such as programme admission talks, information booths and campus visits, and preparing materials for such activities. Travel to the Mainland and overseas may be needed;
- Building and maintaining network with secondary schools;
- Carrying out programme admission-related administrative duties such as supporting committees, engaging in programme promotion/admission events, etc.;
- Providing central administration support relating to internal and external scholarships/awards; and
- Compiling statistical reports.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree with at least five years of relevant work experience (candidates with fewer years of work experience will be considered for Senior Academic Services Officer);
- Excellent presentation skills;
- Proficiency in English, Chinese and Putonghua;
- Strong competencies in using computer applications and analysis of statistical data are essential;
- Highly self-motivated and be able to work independent; and
- Good team spirit with multitasking skills.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written assessment.
The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of a period up to the time of the School’s possible migration, which should be around August 2027. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
