Established in 2000, the College of International Education (CIE) is a self-funded unit of the Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU), offering full-time associate degree (AD), Higher Diploma (HD) and Undergraduate (UG) Honours Degree Programmes at the Shek Mun (Shatin) campus. It is a major education providing unit of the School of Continuing Education (SCE), one of the seven Faculties/Schools of HKBU. CIE currently enrolls over 3,500 students and is committed to the University’s mission of providing quality whole-person higher education with a Christian heritage. Applications are now invited for the following position:
Assistant Programme Officer (Ref. No.: 25260375)
The appointee is expected to provide general administrative, clerical and academic registry service support to the College of International Education (CIE) at the Shatin Shek Mun Campus. Major duties include class timetabling, examination scheduling and graduation matters, admissions and registration, tuition fee payment arrangements, record keeping, filing and information compilation, handling telephone enquiries, assisting in the College’s events and functions, providing support to the service counter and other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the supervisor(s).
Requirements:
- (i) Holder of Associate Degree/ Higher Diploma with preferably 2 years of related experience; OR (ii) Possession of HKCEE 5 passes including English Language (at least Grade C if Syllabus A/Level 2 from 2007) and Chinese Language (at least Level 2 from 2007), or at least 5 subjects attaining Level 2 in HKDSE including English Language and Chinese Language, with more work experience;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Capable of working independently and managing tight deadlines;
- Excellent interpersonal and multi-tasking abilities;
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua); and
- Proficient in computer applications including MS Office applications, such as Word (English and Chinese) and Excel.
The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract ending in August 2027. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
