SCHOOL OF CONTINUING EDUCATION

 

The School of Continuing Education, one of the eight Faculties/Schools/Academy of the University and a major provider of continuing and professional education in Hong Kong, offers a wide range of full-time and part-time programmes at the post-secondary, undergraduate and postgraduate levels for young learners and working adults. It also offers in-house training and short courses to meet the community needs and market demands. Operated on a self-financed basis, the School and its College of International Education currently employ about 400 full-time staff and 500 part-time instructors. The School is inviting applications for the following position:

 

Assistant Academic Services Manager / Senior Academic Services Officer (Ref. No.: 23241231)

 

The appointee will be responsible for providing administrative support at the Registry of the School in a combination of major areas including a) coordinating programme quality assurance exercises such as programme accreditation, programme review and revisions, annual programme reporting, Course Feedback Questionnaire/Course Evaluation and statistical report compilation, and programme/course registration onto the Qualifications Register; b) providing secretarial service to committees and boards; and c) performing central administrative work relating to course timetabling and student surveys.

 

Requirements:

  • A recognised degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience (candidates with fewer years of work experience will be considered for Senior Academic Services Officer);
  • Competencies in using computer applications and analysis of statistical data are essential;
  • Excellent proficiency in written English and Chinese;
  • Organised, detail-minded and highly self-motivated with good communication and interpersonal skills; and
  • Good team spirit with multitasking skills and be able to work independently.

 

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written assessment.

 

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

 

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
