SCHOOL OF CONTINUING EDUCATION

The School of Continuing Education is one of the eight Faculties/Schools of the University and is a major provider of continuing and professional education in Hong Kong. The School has established a School-wide Careers and Employability Centre (CEC) to enhance the institutional capacity and support to improve students’ employability skills and career readiness, and to cultivate an institutional culture supportive of employability skills. With the support of EDB Quality Enhancement Support Scheme (QESS) Fund, the CEC will launch the Pilot Scheme on Global Workplace Experience for students. Applications are now invited for the following position:

Career and Internship Officer (Ref. No.: PRSCE0047/22-23)

The appointee will be responsible for coordinating and providing support and services offered by the Centre. Major duties include: a) soliciting and coordinating international and local workplace experience opportunities/programmes; b) developing and delivering career workshops and guidance activities; c) coordinating and monitoring the internship programmes and providing support services to students; d) coordinating the promotion and publicity of the Centre and its services; e) liaising with internal and external parties; and f) taking charge of related administrative duties.

Requirements:

• Degree holder with preferably three years of relevant experience;
• High proficiency in computer applications;
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese;
• Good team spirit with multi-tasking skills and be able to work independently;
• Well-organised, self-motivated and detail-minded with good communication skills; and
• Solid experience in coordinating internship programmes and organising student development activities would be an advantage.

Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of around 1 year and 5 months until September 2024.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
