The Dance Studio is located on the 4/F of the David C. Lam Building. With an area of 92.7m2, the Studio could accommodate 25 users at a time. It provides users with a space to learn and practice different styles of dance.

Saturday: 9:00 am-4:00 pm
Sunday & Public Holidays: Closed

    The facilities will be closed on the issue of tropical cyclone signal No. 8 or above. The Centre Office may also exercise discretion to close the facilities when, in its operation, that the facilities are unsuitable for use from safety or operation point of view.

  2. Eligible Users
    The following categories of users may use the facilities on presentation of valid HKBU I.D. Cards.

    1. Full-time students of HKBU/HKBU SCE
    2. Full-time staff of HKBU/HKBU SCE
    3. Students of Certificate/Diploma Courses of HKBU SCE
    4. BEd Students of HKBU SCE
    5. Part-time degree students of HKBU SCE
    6. Honorary Associates and Adjunct Professors of HKBU
    7. Holders of Dependent Card of HKBU/HKBU SCE
      Dependents under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a parent or eligible user aged 18 or above when using the Dance Studio
    8. Other parties with permission of the Management, e.g. visiting teams
  3. Guests
    1. All eligible users except the Holders of Dependent Card of HKBU/HKBU SCE may bring 3 guests at any one time to use the facilities.
    2. All guests can use the facilities under the following conditions:
      1. if they register at the Service Counter of respective Centre Office
      2. if they are accompanied by eligible users at all times
      3. if they settle the guest entrance fees in accordance with the rental charges of facilities
  4. Booking
    1. The School has the priority in using the facilities to conduct classes and other activities.
    2. All bookings can be made 7 days in advance, inclusive of the day of making the booking, at the Service Counter of respective Centre Office. No telephone booking would be accepted.
      1. A user must apply in person and present a valid HKBU I.D. Card for booking.
      2. A receipt would be issued upon payment of the booking fees. Fees paid are non-refundable.
      3. The user shall check the details of the booking before leaving the Service Counter.
    3. Users can only use the facilities during the reserved time.
    4. Each session is limited to 60 minutes.
    5. If the facilities are not taken up 10 minutes after the commencement of the reserved session, they will be deemed to be a cancellation and the fees paid will be forfeited. Eligible users may then use the facilities upon payment of relevant fees on a first-come first served basis.
    6. The hirer must be one of the users using facilities and must produce the receipt and I.D. used during booking for verification and registration before using the facilities.
    7. The booking time could not be changed once confirmed.
    8. In case of adverse weather or closed facility by the Centre, hirer may apply for reallocation of session within 14 days inclusive of the day of the original booking.
  5. Discipline
    1. Users must wear appropriate attire.
    2. Smoking, eating and drinking are prohibited.
    3. The Management may refuse any person from using the facilities if the person fails to comply with the Rules and Regulations or upon health grounds or other reasons and/or impose further conditions for the use of facilities. In such event, the paid fees are forfeited.
    4. Users shall compensate the School for any damage of the properties or equipment.
    5. The Centre Office may stipulate any maximum user capacity of the booked facility on safety ground and management consideration.
  6. First-Aid and Liability for Accidents/Injuries
    A first-aid box is kept in the Office. Users could approach the Service Counter if needed; however, users are responsible for their own safety when using the facilities. The School would not take any responsibility for any accident or injury suffered by users when using the facilities.
  7. Charges
    1. Rental Charge:
      Students   HK$25 / hour
      Staff         HK$60 / hour
    2. Guest Entrance Fee: HK$25 per person
