Part-Time Lecturers For Full-Time Sub-degree And Undergraduate Degree Programmes

 

Established in 2000, the College of International Education (CIE) is a self-funded unit of the Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU), offering full-time Associate Degree (AD), Higher Diploma (HD) and Undergraduate (UG) Honours Degree Programmes at the Shek Mun (Shatin) campus.  It is a major education providing unit of the School of Continuing Education (SCE), one of the Faculties/Schools of HKBU.  CIE currently enrolls over 3,500 students and is committed to the University’s mission of providing quality whole-person higher education with a Christian heritage.  English is used as the medium of instruction at the College.  Applications are now invited for the part-time lecturer position for the following course areas /subjects for the Second Semester of the 2025-26 academic year.

Applicants should possess at least a Master’s degree in relevant discipline and have substantial teaching experience preferably at tertiary level. Competence in using English as the medium of instruction is required.  For courses marked with #, applicants should be competent in either Cantonese or Putonghua, and proficiency in both Cantonese and Putonghua is highly preferred.

 

[Notes]:

  1. Applicants must demonstrate an understanding of AI ethics and be aware of the social implications of AI use in Humanities.
  2. Applicants must have a strong background in the training and teaching of Literature. An added background in Cultural Studies and/or Philosophy is an advantage.
  3. Applicants must hold a master’s degree or higher degree in Arts Administration, Arts/Cultural Management, Cultural Policy, Museum/Heritage Studies, Creative Industries, or a closely related field.  Applicants must have substantial, practical experience, network and sector knowledge within the arts and cultural organizations, such as museums, galleries, performing arts companies, festivals, cultural non-profits, creative enterprises, or policy agencies.
  4. Applicants must hold at least a master’s degree in Sociology, Cultural Studies, Creative Industries, or a closely related field.
