The School of Continuing Education is one of the eight Faculties/Schools/Academy of the University and is a major provider of continuing and professional education in Hong Kong. With the support of EDB Quality Enhancement Support Scheme (QESS) Fund, the School has launched a project titled “Virtual Exchange for Authentic Teaching and Learning Innovation” to improve students’ international learning experience and to support innovative teaching pedagogy for virtual exchanges. Applications are now invited for the following position:
Project Officer (Ref. No.: PRSCE0033/22-23)
The project is looking for an appointee to provide day-to-day administrative, logistical and design support to the Virtual Exchange Centre. S/he should provide administrative assistance to the School in monitoring the work progress and controlling budget of virtual exchange initiatives.
The major duties of the appointee include (a) establishing, liaising and coordinating the networking matters and following-up enquiries with/from different divisions of the School, overseas, local tertiary education sectors and/or public; (b) building and maintaining websites and e-platforms for publicising E-learning and virtual exchange projects; (c) supporting the development of training workshops and videos ; (d) proposing e-learning platforms that facilitate the virtual exchange initiatives and the organisation of international virtual exchange conferences; (e) conducting regular review, basic data collection, analysis and day-to-day administrative support; and (f) supervising student helpers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with 1 year of work experience;
- Knowledge of website design/building, and skills of video shooting and editing;
- Proficiency in MS Office, Chinese and English Word Processing;
- Organised, open and detail-minded, and highly self-motivated, with good communication and interpersonal skills in both Chinese and English. Fluency in Mandarin is preferred.
- Able to work independently with multi-tasking skills; and
- Knowledge and experience in analysis software, and graphic processing software will be a definite advantage.
Duration of the project: 3 years
The appointee will be required to work on the Shatin Shek Mun Campus.
Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract for two years. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to good performance, mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
