Laboratory Assistant (Ref. No.: PRSCE0025/19-20)


The appointee will be supporting the operation of the nursing laboratories of the Division of Nursing Education. Major duties include: a) developing technical proficiency with all aspects of the operation, maintenance, support, trouble-shooting, and repair for all equipment; b) assisting in the operation of the simulators/ manikins and logistics arrangement in training sessions when required; c) preparing teaching materials, set-up and after-care of the facilities, with assistance of worker(s), as appropriate, for teaching and other activities; d) monitoring equipment performance to ensure that equipment is operational and performing regular preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment according to manufacturers’ recommendations; e) maintaining records of inventories; and f) assisting in event co-ordination and ad hoc projects.


Minimum Requirements:

  • (i) Holder of Higher Diploma or Associate Degree with preferably 2 years of work experience in healthcare sector; OR (ii) with at least 5 passes in HKCEE including English Language (at least Grade C if Syllabus A/Level 2 from 2007) and Chinese Language (at least Level 2 from 2007), or at least 5 subjects attaining Level 2 in HKDSE including English Language and Chinese Language with more work experience;
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
  • Effective communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills; and
  • Good team spirit, self-motivated and positive attitude.


Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
