The School of Continuing Education, one of the eight Faculties/Schools of the University and a major provider of continuing and professional education in Hong Kong, offers a wide range of full-time and part-time programmes at the post-secondary, undergraduate and postgraduate levels for young learners and working adults. It also offers in-house training and short courses to meet the community needs and market demands. Operated on a self-financed basis, the School and its College of International Education currently employ about 400 full-time staff and 550 part-time instructors. The Public Relations and Communication Section invites applications for the following position to co-ordinate and support PR and marketing activities.
Assistant PR and Communication Officer (Ref. No.: PRSCE0023/23-24)
Major Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day operational support for the section;
- Handle office administration, procurement and email enquiries;
- Responsible for the liaison and logistics of events, such as expo, outreach activities, talks and visits;
- Provide support for promotional campaigns and the operation and maintenance of memberships;
- Provide support for the design and production of marketing materials, including photo and video shooting for image building and social media projects.
Minimum Requirements:
- Higher Diploma or above in Communication/Business/Language related disciplines;
- Preferably 3 years of relevant work experience or above;
- Organised, flexible and detailed minded;
- Good team player; possess effective communication and interpersonal skills;
- Good command of written and spoken Chinese and English;
- Good knowledge in computer application and design software such as Photoshop and Illustrator would be an advantage.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
The initial appointment for the above post will be made on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Applicants with less relevant experience may be considered for a lower band post.
