The School of Continuing Education (SCE) is one of the eight Faculties/Schools of the University and is a major provider of continuing and professional education in Hong Kong. With the support of RGC under the Institutional Development Scheme (IDS), the School will launch a project related to the COVID-19 Health Literacy. Applications are now invited for the following position:  


Research Assistant (Ref. No.: PRSCE0021/21-22)


The project is looking for an appointee to support the project implementation and research-related activities. 

The major duties of the appointee include providing assistance and supporting the pilot research activities such as literature review, design of questionnaires, psychological and physiological testing/measurement/statistics, sampling, data processing, etc.



  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Psychology, Health Science, Nursing, Environment Science, Social Sciences or related disciplines;
  • Relevant experience in research is desirable;
  • Strong data interpretation and reporting skills with demonstrated accuracy and meticulous attention to details;
  • Strong knowledge and experience in project management, social media platforms and analytic technique;
  • High proficiency in computer applications including MS Office application (English and Chinese), and good knowledge in statistical data compilation preferably with experience in SPSS, AMOS, MPlus, Power BI, Tableau etc.; and
  • Organized, detail-minded and highly self-motivated, with good communication and interpersonal skills.


The appointee will be required to serve on the Shatin Shek Mun Campus.


The Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract until 30 November 2022. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.


Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
