The School of Continuing Education is one of the eight Faculties/Schools of the University and is a major provider of continuing and professional education in Hong Kong. With the support of EDB Quality Enhancement Support Scheme (QESS) Fund, the School has established a School-wide Careers and Employability Centre (CEC) to enhance the institutional capacity and support to improve students’ employability skills and career readiness, and to cultivate an institutional culture supportive of employability skills. Applications are now invited for the following position:


Career and Internship Officer (Ref. No.: PRSCE0012/20-21)


The appointee will be responsible for coordinating and providing support and services offered by the Centre. Major duties include: a) conducting studies and research and collecting/consolidating quantitative and qualitative data; b) performing statistical analysis and preparing regular reports; c) coordinating the promotion and publicity of the Centre and its services; d) coordinating internship and providing work-integrated learning training opportunities, consultation and advice to students; and e) liaising with internal and external parties.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree holder with at least two years relevant experience;
  • High proficiency in computer applications and good knowledge in compilation of statistical data, preferably with experience in data analysis (e.g. SPSS, AMOS, MPlus) and visualization report preparation (e.g. Power BI, Tableau);
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese;
  • Good team spirit with multi-tasking skills and be able to work independently;
  • Self-motivated and detail-minded with good communication skills; and
  • Relevant research experience in social science or related areas would be an advantage.


Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract until September 2021. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.


Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.


The appointee will be required to work on either/both the Kowloon Tong and Shatin Shek Mun campuses.
