Laboratory Assistant (Media Laboratory)(Ref. No.: PRSCE0003/23-24)

The appointee will be supporting the operation of the media laboratory of the Division of Communication in the College of International Education on Shatin Shek Mun Campus. Major duties include:

a)  developing technical proficiency in operation, maintenance, support, trouble-shooting, and repair for all audio-video equipment;

b)  assisting in the operation and logistics arrangement in teaching and practical training sessions of audio-video production when required;

c)  assisting in the set-up and maintenance of online platform to showcase student creative productions;

d)  monitoring equipment performance by regular preventive and corrective maintenance according to manufacturers' recommendations;

e) maintaining records of inventories; and

f)  providing technical support to creative productions and events.

Minimum Requirements:

• Holder of Associate Degree or Higher Diploma with at least one year of working experience;
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, Putonghua an advantage;
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work independently; and
• Proficiency in computer applications including MS Office application.

The initial appointment for the above post will be made on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
