The School of Continuing Education, one of the eight Faculties/Schools/Academy of the University and a major provider of continuing and professional education in Hong Kong, offers a wide range of full-time and part-time programmes at the post-secondary, undergraduate and postgraduate levels for young learners and working adults. It also offers in-house training and short courses to meet the community needs and market demands. Operated on a self-financed basis, the School and its College of International Education currently employ about 400 full-time staff and 500 part-time instructors. The School is inviting applications for the following position:
Registration Assistant (Ref. No.: 23240898)
The appointee will be required a) to provide clerical and registry services support to the Registry including student records, student cards issuance, examination arrangement, and hotline services, etc.; b) to compile information/figures and maintain database; c) to provide secretarial support to the Head’s Office on a need basis; and d) to assist in School-wide activities and ceremonies.
Requirements:
- Associate Degree/Higher Diploma with at least 1 year of work experience;
- HKCEE 5 passes including English Language (at least grade C if Syllabus A / Level 2 from 2007), or at least 5 subjects attaining Level 2 in HKDSE including English Language and Chinese Language, or Diploma Yi Jin/Diploma of Applied Education graduates with more work experience will also be considered;
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work independently and attentive to detail; and
- Proficient in MS Office applications (English and Chinese).
The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
