Understand students’ need and share with the academic community

By adopting an evidence-based approach, the CEC actively participates in academic exchanges and sharing of good practices with the academic community. Ongoing studies are conducted to identify the gap of the Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes (KSA) between students and employers’ expectations; and the students’ career development. Recent findings suggested that students expected a personalised, one-on-one service to help them formulate their work identity and career path. Mental well-being factors such as resilience and identifying stressors could aid students’ career awareness. Bringing theory into practice, the CEC strives to pinpoint these findings with tailor-made workshops, training, and one-on-one services to foster our students’ life-long career growth. The findings will also be shared with the academic community via conferences and publications to promote exchanges.
