Programme Aims
The programme aims at providing students with broad-based business knowledge and the essential concepts of purchasing and supply. It also focuses on the analytical techniques for evaluating the processes. Upon completion of the programme, students will be able to understand the various aspects of the supply chain and logistics functions in organizations and manage the activities.
 
Academic Recognition
University of Canberra

Under normal circumstances, graduates of the Diploma in Purchasing & Supply are granted exemption up to a maximum of 8 courses out of 24 courses towards the Bachelor of Commerce (Business Management) from University of Canberra depending on how closely their prior learning matches with their intended studies.  Please call 3411 2850 for further information.
 
University of Strathclyde

Graduates of Diploma in Purchasing & Supply are eligible to apply for admission to the Master of Science in Procurement Management of the University of Strathclyde, provided that they have the IPSHK full membership. 
 
Professional Recognition

Holders of Diploma in Purchasing & Supply will be exempted from the Foundation Stage of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply, UK.

Duration

It normally takes students 6 terms (24 months) to complete the programme on a part-time basis with the assumption that a student is taking 2 courses a term. But it may be possible for a student to take more than 2 courses a term to cut short the duration of studies.

Tuition Fee

About HK$27,500 for the whole programme, subject to revision and to be paid on a course-by-course basis.
Course Schedule and Venue

Classes will be held at various SCE Learning Centres depending on the schedule in a particular term.

 
Minimum Entry Requirements
  1. The Certificate in Purchasing & Supply offered by the School of Continuing Education (SCE); OR
  2. Form 6 completion plus 5 years of work experience; OR

  3. Completion of Form 7; OR

  4. Qualifications / experience deemed to be equivalent by the SCE.

Applicants may be required to make up additional courses before admission, depending on their prior learning.
 
The course has been included in the list of reimbursable courses for CEF purposes.
