Modern Standard Arabic is spoken by over 280 million people and is the official language of 26 states. It belongs to the Semitic family of languages and it is written from right to left as Hebrew. Arabic is also the liturgical language of Islam, one of the world's major religions, which goes back to before the 7th century. This course will offer learners a general overview about the language to get started in Arabic learning.
